Sports Premium Spending Plans: 2016-17
Estimated Grant funding for 2016-17: £4,000
Possible uses for Sports Grant funding:
- Hiring qualified sports coaches to work alongside primary teachers when teaching PE for swimming and golf;
- Running sport competitions, or increasing participation in the school games – including the House competition, Sports Day, Special Schools Sports Partnership and attendance at a ‘live’ professional sporting event;
School Targets:
- To maximise learners’ achievements in physical education by ensuring all pupils take part in 2 hours of high quality PE every week
- To develop the pupils’ self-esteem and confidence with all the pupils representing the school at sporting events and taking part in interschool competitions
- Ensure that all pupils in KS 2 have access to swimming lessons

Special Schools Sports Partnership: all students participate in competitive events throughout the academic year with other schools | £1,350 |
Six weeks of golf coaching aimed at the year 7 and 8 group | £300 |
Six week swimming classes aimed at the Key Stage 2 group. | £300 |
Six week rock climbing course as part of the BTEC PE course of study | £500 |
