Year 7 Catch-Up Grant (CUG) Funding
The literacy and numeracy catch-up premium gives schools additional funding to support year 7 pupils who did not achieve the expected standard in reading or maths at the end of key stage 2 (KS2).
Spending Plans: 2017-18
Key areas of focus: LITERACY
- Accelerated Reading programme monitored and bespoke interventions identified for targeted learners
- Daily '1 to 1' reading support
- Additional individualised phonic programmes for identified learners
- Additional supported reading time on the residential units
Key areas of focus: NUMERACY
- Numeracy skills programme monitored and bespoke interventions identified for targeted learners
- Additional individualised working memory programmes for identified learners
- Additional individualised numeracy tasks on the residential units
