Autumn Term 2018

Posted 19/12/2018

The Autumn Term 2018 has been extremely busy with fabulous fundraising events, mock exams, building links with our local community, learning new skills, developing our knowledge and understanding, as well as making memories with friends. We have continued to welcome lots of new starters, particularly in the Key Stage 2 groups and currently have a large waiting list of other students who want to join us at Brompton Hall School. Our new Key Stage 2 classroom is nearly built and we hope to have photos of the finished building to share with everyone in January 2019; the new classroom will enable us to offer a third Key Stage 2 ‘nurture’ group which we are very excited about.

“I know it is wet and the sun is not sunny, but we can have lots of good fun that is funny.” Dr Seuss

This quote, from The Cat in the Hat, is a good one to keep in mind when you’re not able to plan big trips or even go out and enjoy time with friends. Sometimes with friends you have to take what you can get, it’s the quality of the time you spend with a friend or family member that matters, not the activity you’re doing. So remember to make sure you spend ‘quality time’ with your loved ones this holiday; watch a Christmas film, bake a cake, sing Christmas songs, go for a walk or meet for a chat….. don’t spend all of your time online as friendships can be also built IRL!

I would like to thank the hardworking staff team who have continued to provide exciting learning experiences for all of our young people both inside and outside of the classroom environment, without their commitment we would not be able to provide the variety of experiences which our young people benefit from on a daily basis.

I wish all of our Brompton Hall School family a wonderful Christmas holiday and look forward to hearing about your Christmas adventures when school re-opens on 8th January 2019.
