Residential Child Care Officer - 21 Hours per Week - Term Time Only + Training Days

Salary: £9,080.61 - £10,008.24

Brompton Hall is a North Yorkshire weekly boarding/day school in the village of Brompton 8 miles from Scarborough, for 60 KS2 to KS4 boys with SEMH and other associated special needs and learning difficulties. The school has a very positive ethos and has received Good reports from Ofsted for both education and care commenting how all work together to provide an excellent environment for children to develop and flourish. 

We are looking to recruit 1 x Part Time Residential Child Care Officer to join a dedicated staff team in providing a balanced 24 hour curriculum to meet personal and group needs. All the boys that attend school are individuals with their own issues. A broad range of after school activities are on offer to the pupils and we are seeking to appoint individuals that can compliment this. You will be able to demonstrate skills in initiating new clubs and supporting / leading existing clubs such as cycling, walking, climbing, football, motorbikes, arts and crafts, gardening and cooking. We want all boys to be able to socialise and enjoy each others company, to progress educationally and personally and to maximise their prospects in life. 

The hours are 21 per week, term time only plus training days. 

You will be required to hold or be willing to work towards the Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care.
