Poppy Appeal 2021

Brompton Hall in the Community - Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal

Over the last two weeks the boys from Brompton Hall School have been out on the streets of Scarborough collecting for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.  Mr Vaughan, formerly of the Parachute Regiment, along with other staff members supervised a group of twenty boys who spent four days in town selling poppies despite the inclement Scarborough weather!  We were the only school in the local area to be out collecting for the appeal.  The total amount raised was £1638.94!  Well done to all involved!

Remembrance Day - Students Work

We've been studying Remembrance Day in our Music and Humanities lessons in school.  Cohen, Alfie and Alfie composed this poem and everyone was very moved when Cohen read it aloud in Assembly today.

The boys composed their own bugle calls in the style of The Last Post and Mrs Wood's husband kindly played them for us so we could hear how they sound.  See the video below.
