North Yorkshire Inclusive School Sports Partnership

Brompton Hall School is heavily involved in attending events run through the North Yorkshire inclusive sports partnership, which gives all the pupils the opportunity to represent the school. The events allows the boys to socialise and play against pupils from other schools in a competitive environment which our boys thrive within, where there is a huge focus on fair play, sportsmanship and equality.

Covid-19 Update

Now that we have returned to school following the Covid-19 lockdown, we have adjusted our curriculum to catch up with the missed learning time in school.

The current Year 11 BTEC PE students have been awarded grades for two out of the four units of work (Practical Performance in Sport and Applying the Principles of Personal Training) that were planned to have been completed by the end of the Year 10. These grades have been awarded based on teacher assessments and completed coursework to date.

The scheme of work for this year has subsequently been adjusted to allow time to complete the remaining units of work, with additional catch-up sessions being offered after school to our students as and when required.

School Games Gold Mark Awards

We are delighted to announce that we have achieved the School Games Gold Mark Award for the 2018/19 academic year. The School Games Mark is a Government led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success. As part of our application, we were asked to fulfil criteria in the areas of participation, competition, workforce and clubs, and we are pleased that the hard work of everyone at our school has been rewarded this year. We look forward to applying once again in 2020!
