At the beginning of the swimming sessions 3 out of the 13 pupils were classed as ‘non-swimmers’ and were unable to swim unaided. At the end of the 6 weeks, 12 out of the 13 pupils attending the swimming sessions were able to swim at least one width unaided and 83% of the pupils were able to swim a length.

All pupils within the school have represented the school at a sports partnership event during the academic year, impacting hugely on their social development and raising the profile of sport across the school community.

All pupils from Year 7 and 8 accessed professional golf coaching. For 10 out of the 14 pupils this was new experience and had never played the sport before. All of the pupils said they would like to play again.

All the pupils in Year 11 accessed the rock-climbing as part of their GCSE course of study, the entire group passed this compulsory section of the qualification.
